Tracheal collapse occurs when the trachea loses rigidity and narrows during breathing. It is more common in small-breed dogs and may present with chronic coughing, noisy breathing, exercise intolerance, or episodes of respiratory distress. Although some cases can be managed with medical treatment, others require additional testing to assess the severity of the condition and rule out associated respiratory or cardiac diseases.
